Brian Austin Green discovered that his estranged wife, Megan Fox, was dating Machine Gun Kelly in his “own way” — and it wasn’t in the press.

“I found out in my own way. And that’s as much detail as I’ll give you on that one. I didn’t read about it or anything like that,” the 47-year-old actor said while appearing on the podcast “Hollywood Raw” with Dax Holt and Adam Glyn.

The “Beverly Hills, 90210” star said he and the “Transformers” actress — who were married for a decade — are dealing with their breakup amicably.

“I think it’s going as well as it can,” he said. “There’s no rule book to it. There’s no way of doing it right or doing it wrong. We are learning as we go. The important thing for us is just communicating as much as we can.”

Green also acknowledged the toll divorce could take on their three sons: Noah, 7, Bodhi, 6, and Journey, 3.

“I think it’s up to us, and parents in general, how it affects your kids. Whether it’s a really negative experience or it’s OK and they feel safe in it and feel loved. Everyone still loves and respects everyone, things are just different. It’s not bad different, it’s just different,’ he explained.

“I wish Megan the absolute best in everything. I want her to be completely happy, for her, for the kids. That’s super important.

“No one wants to be around somebody that’s unhappy, nothing good comes out of that,” he continued. “That’s a terrible situation. We are taking it day by day. This is insane, this happened at an unfortunate time that nobody could have predicted with quarantine and the virus and all of that. The news cycle is a bit bigger than we were prepared for. It is what it is.”

Green and Fox began dating in 2004. They have had a rocky relationship with breakups and reconciliations over the years.

They confirmed their separation in May.

Green’s comments come after Fox, 34, and Kelly, 30, went Instagram-official last week. The rapper posted a black and white photo of himself and his new squeeze alongside the caption: ‘waited for eternity to find you again.’

The couple met on the set of “Midnight in the Switchgrass” earlier this year but they really set tongues wagging when Kelly dropped his “Bloody Valentine” music video in late May, in which Fox plays a dominatrix, causing people to speculate that they were now an item.
