The nominees for the 2020 MTV VMAs were unveiled Thursday, with Lady Gaga and defending artist of the year Ariana Grande topping the list with nine VMA noms apiece. Following the two singers are The Weeknd and Billy Eilish, bringing in six nominations each. All four are up for the show’s marquee video of the year prize.
Taylor Swift, Dua Lipa, Justin Bieber, BTS and Harry Styles are also among this year’s nominees.
While the 2020 ceremony will feature the traditional categories such as artist of the year and song of the year, the announcement also boasts some new prizes perfect for the pandemic year. New categories include best music video from home and best quarantine performance.
The nominees were revealed via voice tweets today. Fans can cast their votes for the show’s categories on the awards show website through August 23.
The annual MTV VMAs will air live Aug. 30 at 8 p.m. ET on MTV.
