The 27-year-old singer is engaged to actor Max Ehrich, the couple announced on social media late Wednesday. They were first linked romantically earlier this year.
“When I was a little girl, my birth dad always called me his ‘little partner’ – something that might’ve sounded strange without his southern cowboy like accent. To me it made perfect sense. And today that word makes perfect sense again but today I’m officially going to be someone else’s partner,” Lovato wrote alongside engagement photos that showed off her massive diamond ring.
Lovato continued to gush about her 29-year-old fiancé, saying she loved him the “moment” she met him.
“It was something I can’t describe to anyone who hasn’t experienced it firsthand but luckily you did too.. I’ve never felt so unconditionally loved by someone in my life (other than my parents) flaws and all,” she continued. “You never pressure me to be anything other than myself. And you make me want to be the best version of myself.”
The “Sorry Not Sorry” singer said she was “honored” to accept the “Young and the Restless” actor’s hand in marriage and couldn’t wait to start a family and life with him.
“I love you forever my baby. My partner,” she ended the emotional caption. “Here’s to our future!!!”
Ehrich shared more photos from their engagement shoot to his account and added, “You are every love song, every film, every lyric, every poem, everything I could ever dream of and then some in a partner in life.”
Lovato and Ehrich started dating earlier this year, though it wasn’t confirmed until the end of March. Since going public, the couple have flaunted their romance with PDA-packed photos and flirty Instagram comments.
