TLC’s hit reality series “sMothered,” co-produced by The Post, follows several mother-and-daughter duos with outrageously tight bonds.

From showering together to dressing alike to doing home renovation projects, most people save certain activities for their spouses rather than their parents. But these moms and daughters do it all.

Now that Season 2 is almost over, secrets are coming out and relationships are getting tense.

Here’s our recap of Season 2’s ninth episode. Spoilers ahead!

Marcia and Alena

New Yorkers Marcia, 68, and Alena, 21, are close partly due to Alena’s health struggles — she has an enzyme disorder that necessitates weekly medical procedures, and one result of the disorder is that she stands at just 4-foot-3.

Marcia has been encouraging her to get more independent since she counts on Marcia for everything — even driving.

So, the first step was to find Alena a boyfriend. They created a dating profile, and Alena confessed that she once had a one-night stand in college. Rather than getting upset, Marcia said, “I was kind of relieved because I think it made her feel normal and that she would go forth from there . . . [I] want her to find somebody and get married and have a life.”

Alena, however, was unwilling to consider spending less time with her mom, and she said any potential boyfriend would have to accept their bond. Her lack of independence is also an issue when it comes to dating because, as Marcia pointed out, how will she get to a date if she can’t drive?

Kathy and Cristina

Chicago duo Kathy, 61, and Cristina, 35, are living together at last. This episode saw Cristina and her family finally move into the basement of her mom Kathy’s house, after spending all season talking about it and scheming to get Cristina’s reluctant husband Carlo onboard.

The only problem? Carlo — who looks like he takes style advice from Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino during the heyday of “Jersey Shore” — was less than enthusiastic about this. He demanded that they leave if something should happen that he doesn’t like, which happened sooner rather than later. Already in this episode, as he returned home from work to see Cristina and Kathy doing home-spa face masks together, he said, “I didn’t want to deal with all this funny business, and then I walk in and here they are: funny business!”

Mary and Brittani

It was surgery day for the shower-sharing Florida duo. Last episode, they decided that while Brittani, 19, got a tummy tuck procedure, her mom Mary, 55, would get her breasts done so that they could bask in getting cosmetic surgery together as a “bonding experience.”

Mary changed her mind and instead settled on altering her eyes and chest, but the day went off without a hitch . . . almost. After the duo got back home to recover — and Mary enthusiastically proclaimed that Brittani must now get a bikini to show off her new body — Mary’s husband, Frank, bailed on them. They wanted him around the house to help them out, but when Mary asked if he could pick up some food for them, he revealed that he did not take off from work as she had asked him to.

“Am I disappointed? Yes,” she said.

Laurie and Sarah

Florida pair Laurie, 59, and Sarah, 25, are one of the less outlandish duos in comparison to the others on the show, but this week they made a sharp swerve.

Since Sarah is always stressing out about her mom’s health, she had a solution: She would set up a camera in her house, similar to a baby monitor, so she could check on her through an app on her phone. Their visiting friend Sue called the idea “ridiculous,” but Sarah was undaunted. She was just happy that it would make her feel more in control of the situation and reduce her constant anxiety about her mom.

She told her boyfriend, Miguel, who said, “This rabbit hole does get deeper; it gets weirder every day here. This is like Big Brother/NSA-type stuff. Why would you do this? I think it’s super weird.”

She was surprised by his negative reaction, wondering why he was not “excited” about her conducting surveillance on her mom. “You tell me to worry less and this is my opportunity to worry less . . . I’m being proactive!” she said.

Sunhe and Angelica

After last week’s cancer scare for the Las Vegas duo, Sunhe, 52, and Angelica, 32, were relieved that Sunhe got a cancer-free prognosis from the doctor. Angelica cried as they broke the news to Angelica’s fiancé, Jason, and Sunhe’s long-distance fiancé, Brett, via FaceTime. Angelica then moved on to the next big event in her life: going on a five-day cruise with Jason.

The problem? She was not that excited because she was stressed about a secret she needed to share with him. “I have a secret, and my mom is the only one that knows what’s going on right now,” she told the camera. “I’m not sure when I’ll tell Jason. I don’t want to mess up our vacation. Maybe I’ll tell him after. I don’t know how to tell him, when to tell him . . . I’m getting really stressed out about it.”

What do we think Angelica’s secret is?

“sMothered” airs Sundays at 10 p.m. on TLC.
