Mick Jagger and the mother of his young son Melanie Hamrick’s “love story has heated up” since he’s recovered from his heart surgery a year ago, pals say.

“They’ve been locked up together since mid-March,” said a source, who added that the duo’s currently renting a castle in Tuscany. Hamrick posted images on social media of her recent 34th birthday around Livorno, Italy, with Jagger, 76, and their 3-year-old son Deveraux. They’ve been spotted enjoying family time on an Italian beach.

“The couple’s friends consider them married — but of course they aren’t as Mick doesn’t do that anymore, lol,” said the insider. “Mick’s pals say they haven’t seen him this happy in decades, and he has finally settled down. It only took a heart attack and pandemic.”

Hamrick took time off from American Ballet Theatre to take care of Jagger when he was recuperating. “With ABT shut down, it turns out Melanie made all the right choices,” our source said.

The Stones recently released the single, “Living in a Ghost Town,” while apart due to the pandemic as their first original song since 2012. Our source said that the band is now also working on another new song via Zoom, and recording separately to create it.

A rep for Jagger did not get back to us.
