Golnesa Gharachedaghi: The ‘Shahs’ reunion is dramatic — but she’s ‘not as crazy’

The “Shahs of Sunset” reunion will shock the fans as much as it shocked the cast.

Golnesa “GG” Gharachedaghi told Page Six last month that she was ready to “really serve it” at the “Shahs of Sunset” reunion, but motherhood unexpectedly brought out a softer side of her.

“I’m not as crazy as [I am at] most reunions,” Gharachedaghi, 38, laughed to Page Six on Thursday, joking that becoming a mom to 2-month old Elijah has made her “a little bit more responsible.”

She added, “At first, I was super bummed about it because I’m like, ‘You know what? I’m not pregnant anymore. I want to show my little snap-back body,’ you know? And I’m ready to like, you know, go off on the people that deserve it. Doing it through a camera lens or computer, laptop, can feel really weird a little bit.”

Still, there was no shortage of drama — which may have pushed the host, Andy Cohen, over the edge.

“I think he hit the mute on it once, or he might have just muted in his head — because he did bang his head onto the table a few times because it was just so loud between us,” she said. “So I can’t remember if it was [that] he hit the mute button or if he just started hitting his head on the table.”

She explained that the drama may have come from having extra time to prepare. The “Shahs of Sunset” Season 8 stopped airing in May and the reunion taping was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

“This season particularly, it was just like, so many people have so many sides of one same story, but after we started filming, people like Reza, Destiney, they kept looking deeper and deeper and deeper into what happened,” she said. “And things started coming up, and receipts started coming about — text messages — so people will start to see all that play out in the reunion. Like, who’s really at fault? Where did this really all go down from?”

GG’s glam and outfit choices were also much different than in previous reunions.

“Lord Jesus. It was hard, because, I mean, for reunions we go all glam like we’re going to like the Grammys or something like that, you know what I mean?” she said. “So, knowing that just your top half can be glammed up, it was like, ‘Okay, well I want to wear something, but I still have some pregnancy weight, so how do I look cute and sexy but still quarantined at home?’ So I just randomly picked a cute little, kind of see-through blouse.”

Gharachedaghi joked that her outfit ended up being “a walking mullet” as she “was wearing really thick sweatpants [and] my really big fat chunky fuzzy socks with the little slip-grips on the bottom since I have slippery wood floors at home” on her off-screen bottom half.

The “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen: @ Home ‘Shahs of Sunset’” virtual two-part reunion airs on Sunday, July 19 and Sunday, July 26 at 9 p.m. ET.
