Kelly Preston’s daughter honored the actress for having a “light that never ceases to shine” in a moving tribute following her death from breast cancer.
“I have never met anyone as courageous, strong, beautiful and loving as you,” Ella Travolta, Preston’s 20-year-old daughter with John Travolta, wrote on Instagram.
“Anyone who is lucky enough to have known you or to have ever been in your presence will agree that you have a glow and a light that never ceases to shine and that makes anyone around you feel instantly happy. Thank you for being there for me no matter what.”
Travolta announced Sunday night that his wife had died at age 57 following a secret two-year battle with breast cancer.
“It is with a very heavy heart that I inform you that my beautiful wife Kelly has lost her two-year battle with breast cancer,” he wrote on Instagram. “She fought a courageous fight with the love and support of so many.”
The couple, who were married 28 years, met while filming 1988′s “The Experts.”
In addition to Ella, they also shared a 9-year-old son, Benjamin.
They had another son, Jett, who in 2009 died after a seizure at the family’s vacation home in the Bahamas.
Travolta said Sunday he will be taking time off following Preston’s death “to be there for my children who have lost their mother.”
