After months spent staying home and social distancing, it’s likely that basic sweatpants and PJs are beginning to feel a bit boring.

Fortunately, there’s a knit maxi dress out there that’s every bit as cozy and comfy as a pair of lounge pants, but a whole lot sexier, thanks to its clingy fit, open back and ab-baring cutouts — and stars are obsessed.

Pre-pandemic, supermodel Candice Swanepoel became the first celebrity to wear Cult Gaia’s “Serita” dress ($458), teaming it with a leather trench for a Bvlgari party during New York Fashion Week in February.

Then, “The Hills” star Whitney Port layered the same amber-colored look beneath a denim jacket for a trip to Mexico in March.

From there, the sultry cutout style continued to pick up steam. In early May, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley shimmied into an off-white version of the Cult Gaia dress for an Instagram post promoting the label’s charitable collaboration with No Kid Hungry. And Victoria’s Secret Angel Romee Strijd wore the same one to announce her pregnancy at the end of that month, excitedly showing off her burgeoning baby bump.

And the piece’s popularity is showing no signs of waning, with Hailey Baldwin posing under palm trees in the sand-colored version of the style on Instagram Wednesday. Like Strijd, Huntington-Whiteley and Swanepoel, she accessorized the warm-toned woven dress with little besides a few well-placed pieces of gold jewelry — but promised fans she’d also add an additional essential item.

“Yes, I’ll be wearing a mask with this,” Baldwin captioned her series of snaps.
