Whitney Port is back in fashion.

The star of “The Hills,” who worked on her own Whitney Eve label from 2009 until 2014, has returned to design with a brand-new capsule collection for Rent the Runway, which launched Wednesday.

“It’s been six years now, and I’ve just been itching to do this again; when I’m designing, that’s when I feel the most me,” Port, 35, told Page Six Style, adding that eco-friendliness was a top priority with her new project.

“Renting is a great way to be sustainably involved in fashion,” the star explained, adding that one-third of the 19-piece Love, Whit capsule is also made from recycled fabrics and sustainable cotton.

There’s a charitable component to the collection as well, with a portion of proceeds going to Until We Do It, a nonprofit helping support vulnerable communities in times of crisis. The organization is currently working to distribute 50 million face masks to groups most at risk for COVID-19, including black and Native American communities as well as the homeless.

Port said that her own wardrobe and busy lifestyle informed the look and feel of the clothes. “As a multitasking mom, I gravitate toward pieces that can be easily mixed and matched, or one-piece dresses you can throw on,” she told us.

“So there are really beautiful floral-printed dresses, great tops that can be tucked into jean shorts or jeans for easy dressing at home right now and a really great lightweight, comfortable suit you can wear together or as separates.”

Added the “Hills: New Beginnings” star, “There’s nothing body-con — that’s not my style. It’s all very flowy and loose and easy to wear. They’re pieces for the woman who maybe has felt a little bit of a loss of control now, and wants to bring some joy into her life and to feel elevated and put-together, but still really comfortable.”

Comfort, Port said, has been especially key during her months stuck at home with husband Tim Rosenman and their 2-year-old son, Sonny.

“At the beginning of quarantine, I had very much given into the fact that it didn’t really matter what I looked like, that it was just all about sweats and being comfortable and not caring because nobody was seeing me,” she admitted.

“But after a few weeks of that, I just started feeling really blah. There is something to be said for putting yourself together in a time like this. For me, that means wearing boyfriend jeans with peasant-y tops, or floral dresses with sandals, or mixing sweats with a cute lightweight sweater. I’ve even been putting on matching workout sets, just so I can feel a little more like myself.”

And while fans of “The Hills” will notice that the star hasn’t lost her love for bohemian blouses, statement shorts and puff sleeves since the MTV hit premiered back in 2006, she told us she has plenty of fashion regrets from that era.

“There’s so much I would do differently,” Port said. “I wore so many oversized tops and blouses with my bra showing; that’s just never acceptable! The amount of times my undergarments were showing while I was filming ‘The Hills’ and ‘The City’ was just so inappropriate. It’s so much fun to reminisce, though, and I try not to be too hard on myself about it.”
