Comic Chris D’Elia has been accused of preying on underage girls online, according to reports.

A woman named Simone Rossi posted screenshots of DM conversations on Twitter she claims the comedian sent her when she was 16 and he was in his 30s. Rossi began her thread by saying she couldn’t believe D’Elia, now 40, had been cast in the Netflix series “You” as a man who is secretly a child molester.

“Like the literal IRONY,” Rossi tweeted.

In one of the alleged messages, D’Elia asked if they could “make out,” even though she claims he was 34 at the time.

“imagine being 16 and being groomed by a stand up comedian twice ur age and the only reason you never met up and never got physically m*lested was because u had just gotten a boyfriend ur own age,” she added alongside the screenshots.

Rossi said she felt shame that she initially interacted with him but realized it wasn’t her fault.

“For the longest time i thought it was embarrassing for ME that i was interacting with this older man but he was the one who DM’d me on twitter and was the one who was twice my age and was the one that used the power imbalance between us to his advantage so f*** chris d’elia,” she added.

Another woman named Abby Grills shared screenshots on Twitter of a conversation she allegedly had with D’Elia in 2011 over Facebook Messenger detailing her claims that he pursued her when she was 17 years old.

As seen in Grills’ screenshots, D’Elia allegedly asked Grills for her phone number, but she declined to give it to him, citing her age and his (he was 30 at the time).

“Gimme yer # again!” he allegedly wrote.

“you’re insistent! why?” Grills responded.

“Because I like you. Duh. And plus, you know you kinda like it. Sooooooo what is it?” he allegedly asked.

“sorryyy. i mean you’re 30 and all,” Grills then said.

“What’s really weird to me looking back at these is that in my head, he didn’t know I was 17 until I told him to stop messaging me,” Grills noted in a follow-up tweet. “But I now see I told him several times. I had been giving him the benefit of the doubt all these years.”
