Stassi Schroeder’s podcast, “Straight Up With Stassi,” has been dropped by all major platforms after she was fired from “Vanderpump Rules” after making a false police report on her former castmate Faith Stowers.
Radio.com released a statement Wednesday saying, “We recently learned of racially charged and inappropriate actions by Stassi Schroeder during one of her previous projects. In light of this, Radio.com has made the decision to part ways with her. We take these matters very seriously and condemn these actions. ‘Straight Up with Stassi’ has been removed from our portfolio.”
Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and Stitcher have wiped the show from their archives.
Schroeder, 31, launched “Straight Up With Stassi” in 2015, on the heels of her success on “Vanderpump Rules.”
The podcast itself became such a hit that the reality star took her show on the road in 2019 for her “Straight Up With Stassi LIVE” tour.
However, the podcast did come under fire multiple times for its host’s controversial comments. In 2017, advertisers dropped Schroeder over her #MeToo remarks in an episode titled, “Are we on a male witch hunt?” Schroeder then tweeted an apology, saying she had “crossed a line.”
The podcast survived for three more years, but amid the resurgence of the Black Lives Matter movement following the death of George Floyd in police custody, comments Schroeder made about race resurfaced.
The former Bravo star said in an episode, “Why aren’t the Asians being like, ‘We’re not represented.’ Why aren’t Native Americans and Latinos being like, ‘We’re not represented.’ And whenever they get upset, everyone has to go above and beyond to then make them happy.” The “them” referred to black people.
She was also called out by Stowers, the Bravo show’s only black cast member, for calling the police with Kristen Doute and claiming Stowers, 31, looked like an at-large robbery suspect.
As a result, Schroeder was dropped from several brand sponsorships, her PR company and talent agency, and her wine was discontinued.
But the biggest blow came Tuesday when Bravo announced that Schroeder was fired from “Vanderpump Rules.” Doute, 37, was also let go, along with castmates Brett Caprioni and Max Boyens, for their past racist remarks.
Schroeder and Doute have apologized for their actions against Stowers, but have not spoken out again since the fallout.
