Ashley Graham and husband Justin Ervin are a dynamic duo.

The couple teamed up to produce some incredible photos for Harper’s Bazaar UK’s July issue amid the coronavirus outbreak, staging the shoot at the model’s family farm in Nebraska, where the couple have been quarantined with their 5-month-old son Isaac.

Ervin, who is a director and cinematographer, photographed his wife in the grasslands, the barn and her late grandfather’s pickup truck, while members of the Bazaar UK team monitored the shoot from their homes.

The theme for the spread, according to the magazine, is “classic Americana, inspired by Graham’s journey across America and the gentle hills and broad skies of Nebraska.”

Graham did her own hair and makeup and helped style and art direct the shoot, while also enlisting her mom and her boyfriend Michael to serve as their crew.

“Michael was Justin’s PA, lighting man, assistant, the guy who did the Starbucks run,” she said. “My mom was taking care of Isaac the whole time, carrying him in a front-facing sling, but she was also holding a light reflector.”

The family managed to capture magic with the help of Ervin’s cinematographer eye and sentimental touches from Graham’s childhood at the farm, where she grew up.

“We took one picture inside my grandfather’s truck. He passed away six years ago and my mom left everything inside the same, from his Chapstick to his license in the visor and the money in the ashtray,” Graham said.

“I remember looking at the photo and thinking, ‘This is so cool. The four of us put this together, and it’s so cinematic.’ It’s a beautiful moment to look back on during these weird times, and to remember that we had so much joy,” she added.

Graham isn’t the only celebrity helping produce editorial content from home; Naomi Campbell styled and photographed herself for Essence’s 50th anniversary cover, Bella Hadid created a Jacquemus ad campaign from her bathroom via FaceTime and more celebrities have had to get creative for Zoom photoshoots.

The July issue of Harper’s Bazaar UK will hit newsstands on June 3.
