Gigi Hadid is opening up about her pregnancy.
News that the model, 25, is expecting her first child with boyfriend Zayn Malik broke last month, not too long after Fashion Weeks in New York, London, Milan and Paris wrapped up.
In a conversation with Maybelline makeup artist Erin Parsons on Wednesday, Hadid revealed that she actually walked the runways while pregnant, which may have affected the way she looked.
“People think I do fillers on my face, and that’s why my face is round — I’ve had this since I was born. Especially Fashion Month, when I was already, like, a few months preggo, you know,” the star explained.
The supermodel didn’t let her pregnancy slow down her schedule, though; she walked the runway for Marc Jacobs, Tom Ford, Burberry, Fendi, Prada, Versace, Chanel and more. Hadid was even joined by sister Bella and mom Yolanda for Virgil Abloh’s Off-White show, a moment that seems even more significant in hindsight.
When Parson wondered aloud if Hadid’s face would change even more along with her body, she shrugged it off.
“Maybe. Don’t worry. I’m happy with the natural process of the world,” Hadid said.
