Jim Edmonds’ three younger children are back in his care amid his custody battle with estranged wife Meghan King Edmonds.
The former MLB star reunited with Aspen, 3, and twins Hayes and Hart, 1, in his native St. Louis earlier this week. He is now keeping the kids in quarantine, an insider told us. In March, Meghan, 35, and the children left Missouri to live in Los Angeles.
“Meghan dropped the kids with Jim and then apparently left town,” an insider told Page Six on Tuesday. “Jim is going to keep them until she gets back.”
The insider added, “Meghan told Jim she couldn’t take the kids this week because she had too much work to catch up on and then we read that she is in Utah with her boyfriend.”
But another source told us Jim “has the kids this week because it is his arranged custody time.”
We’re told the former “Real Housewives of Orange County” star is in Utah with her new boyfriend, businessman Christian Schauf. Page Six has confirmed that they are dating and that Schauf, the CEO of Uncharted Supply Company, is from Park City.
Meanwhile, Jim has been quarantining in his St. Louis mansion with his new girlfriend, Kortnie O’Connor, since returning from a trip to Nashville in March, Page Six is told. He tested positive for COVID-19 in early April.
One of his older daughters, 22-year-old Hayley, accompanied him on the trip and also tested positive for the virus. It is unclear if his other children, Lauren, Sutton and Landon, have been exposed to or tested for the virus.
“Jim is keeping the kids in quarantine to make sure they are OK after coming from LA and keeping them apart from his older kids to protect everyone,” the first source said.
For now, it appears that Jim and Kortnie are enjoying their time with the tots, as they continue to share photos and videos of themselves with the kids on their social media pages.
