Cynthia Bailey always brings it with her fashion, and has big plans for her upcoming wedding to Mike Hill.
The “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star, 53, is already feeling the pressure to top the silver metallic Rubin Singer gown she wore to tie the knot with ex-husband Peter Thomas in 2010.
“That look was everything. I did that,” Bailey told Page Six Style, adding that she feels the need to step it up for her second nuptials.
The Bravo reality star is set to marry 49-year-old Hill, a Fox sportscaster and media personality, on October 10, 2020. “Lord knows I did not want to be a traditional bride. I got married at Fernbank Museum of Natural History under the belly of a dinosaur. But I’m different. I’m not the same person I was 10 years ago,” she said.
“So I’m not really sure what direction I wanna go in with this wedding. But oh honey, please believe me, I will top that look. I am definitely up for the challenge.”
But don’t expect her to pick a typical white wedding dress this time around, either. “I’m not a traditional mom. I’m not a traditional girlfriend. I’m not a traditional anything. And I most definitely will not be a traditional bride,” Bailey told us in November.
The former model recently teamed up with skincare line Ambi to help find the next face of the brand, a partnership that let her put her style savvy to good use.
“When I came on the show I was still modeling. So I really wanted to bring fashion to the show in terms of New York fashion, the way we do it. You don’t have to be dripping in labels from head to toe; it’s all about swag and how you put it together,” she explained.
At home with her fiancé, however, Bailey lets it all hang out and has ditched the wigs and makeup during the coronavirus crisis.
“Mike’s seen my real hair. I take my wigs off all the time. Once I decide I’m serious about a guy, I make sure they see what’s going on under my wig, weaves and braids,” she added.
As the star has said, seasons may change, but Cynthia Bailey never goes out of style.
