Julianne Hough decided to forgo the usual bouquet of flowers and went big this year, gifting her mother Marriann with a house.
“This is yours. Mom,” the 31-year-old dancer announced in a video posted to Instagram on Sunday. In the post, Hough can be seen giving her mother an enthusiastic hug while her mother gushes about her new digs.
“I cannot believe it,” Marriann exclaimed, before walking over to hug a tree in her new front yard. “Look at this, I love trees. I just love this tree, it’s very big. Look at this little walkway. It could not be better. It’s unbelievable.”
The “Dancing with the Stars” performer captioned the videos: “My Mother has given given given….. its now her time to receive 🙏🏼 Happy Mother’s Day Momma! 🏡”
Hough’s husband, Brooks Laich, who has been self-isolating in Idaho while she remains in California, approved of the gesture commenting that it was “the best thing ever!!”
