The Mayor of Flavortown has raised $20 million for his colleagues in the restaurant industry.
With the coronavirus still raging on, and restaurants nationwide forced to close due to stay-at-home orders, Guy Fieri has taken matters into his own hands.
During an interview with TMZ, Fieri announced that he has been able to raise money with the help of major brands such as Coke, Pepsi and many others.
In partnership with the National Restaurant Association, Fieri has issued grants — typically totaling about $500 each — to restaurants in need of money.
The National Restaurant Association posted a photo on Friday saying that an additional 100,000 recipients were being announced.
Fieri says that he has no intention of stopping the grant until the pandemic is over.
