Erika “Jayne” Girardi finally shared a photo of her police officer son, Tommy Zizzo, this week after protecting his privacy for years because of his line of work.
“People say we look alike,” the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star captioned a picture of 25-year-old Zizzo in uniform on Instagram. She removed the option for fans to comment on the photo and wrote, “No, you can’t comment. 😂”
Girardi, 48, has been a cast member on “Real Housewives” for five seasons, but she has always been adamant about not speaking about her only child on the air.
In 2017, Andy Cohen told Girardi on “Watch What Happens Live” that he was “so bummed” that viewers never get to see Zizzo, who is Girardi’s son from her first marriage to Thomas Zizzo.
“He has a different profession, babe,” she responded. “He’s a real police officer in the streets.”
On Season 7 of “RHOBH,” Girardi got into a huge argument with cast mate Eileen Davidson when the soap star responded to Girardi’s apparent upset at another co-star by saying, “She didn’t kill your child.”
“Don’t ever bring up killing my child again because my child could get killed,” Girardi shot back. “Don’t ever bring up my kid again. Don’t ever do that. Eileen, your kid doesn’t put on a uniform every night, and put his life out on the line for people he doesn’t know.”
“I didn’t mean it that way,” Davidson, 60, responded.
Girardi and her son are close, and in 2017 she said he was living with her.
“I actually love having my son there. He’s free security, OK?” Girardi told The Daily Dish. “Free security and he never lets me forget it.”
She added that her husband, attorney Thomas Girardi, “travels all the time” and so “it’s nice” to also have her boy at home.
A rep for Girardi did not immediately return our request for comment.
