Yolanda Hadid has confirmed that her supermodel daughter Gigi Hadid is pregnant.
The Dutch-born former “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star said the recent rumors are true that Gigi, 25, and boyfriend Zayn Malik, 27, are expecting their first child, sharing the news with Dutch TV program “RTL Boulevard.”
“Still shocked our little secret got leaked to the press. Of course we are so excited,” Yolanda, 56, said, per the outlet’s Instagram post from Wednesday. “I’m excited to become Oma in September especially after I lost my mom so recently. But this is the beauty of life, one soul leaves us and a new one comes in. We feel very blessed.”
The show also added in its caption (as translated by BuzzFeed): “Yolanda Hadid has confirmed to us that her daughter Gigi is indeed pregnant. She becomes a grandma in September.”
Yolanda lost her mother, Ans van den Herik, last summer.
A rep for Yolanda did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
Earlier this week, TMZ reported the Gigi and Malik are expecting a girl. The model, who recently celebrated her 25th birthday, is said to be about 20 weeks along in her pregnancy.
The couple reunited earlier this year after being linked from 2015 to 2018.
