The company is in the process of contacting the people it picked for this giveaway based on their need and their inability to pay for hearing aids on their own. Here is the 10th lucky winner:

Nano: My sister and I are writing on behalf of our mother. She has had significant hearing loss in both ears since her 30s, and has had issues with the hearing aids that she has had most of her adult life.

It has gotten worse, to the point that we will be sitting down as a family for dinner and the hearing aids will whistle or a high screeching noise will emit from the aids.

As long as we can remember, it has been very hard for us to even communicate with her in our home and out in public. We want her to be able to enjoy life to the fullest.

Some of the issues that she has experienced are:  Not being part of conversations;  Volume of her existing hearing aids;  Dealing with cashiers or customer service;  Hearing on the phone.

Often people think that my mother is being rude when she is not answering a simple question because her aids have completely shut down. It makes it very difficult for all involved. It affects many of her daily activities, such as doctor appointments, events she has to attend and her volunteer work with our local library.

We hope that you feel she is deserving of these hearing aids. Due to our father’s cancer diagnosis, our parents’ fixed income makes it challenging to afford the proper hearing aids to assist our mother in her daily living. E.H
