Their knees are weak and their arms are heavy but now they’ve got Mom’s Spaghetti.
Eminem donated the red sauce meal, a reference to the lyrics in his hit song “Lose Yourself,” to healthcare workers fighting the battle against coronavirus in Detroit hospitals.
The 47-year-old rapper, who just celebrated 12 years of sobriety, dropped off containers with labels that read “Thank you frontline caregivers” to several facilities. They were also marked with the Shady Records logo.
The donations were made possible with the help of local catering company Union Joints, which was funded by Eminem and the Marshall Mathers Foundation.
“Our #HealthcareHeroes ‘lost themselves’ in the delicious Mom’s Spaghetti donated by Detroit’s very own, @Eminem,” Henry Ford Health System tweeted. “Thank you for providing a special meal for our team members!”
Detroit Medical Center, who also received batches of the bright red macaroni, tweeted, “Thank you Union Joints for the generous donation of meals to support our staff. They served one of their specialties, also a favorite of Eminem, titled ‘Mom’s Spaghetti.’ We offer our heartfelt thanks and are grateful for the support.”
In 2018, the “8 Mile” star served “Mom’s Spaghetti” at Coachella.
