Williams, 55, announced on Friday that her eponymous daytime talk show is set to resume filming, but that she’ll be taping from her New York City home instead of the studio. New episodes will start airing on Monday, April 6.

“I may not be in my purple chair, and it may not look the same but I’m very excited to get back to my Wendy Watchers … there’s so much uncertainty in all of our worlds right now and we need each other!” Williams said in a statement.

Williams’ at-home segments will be combined with footage taped before the show stopped production on March 12 due to growing concerns around the coronavirus pandemic.

The “Wendy Williams Show” host already has tested out filming from home amid the coronavirus crisis. The bizarre first segment featured Williams eating various foods such as lollipop lamb chops and soft shell crab while discussing her 5-foot-5-inch Betty Boop statue.
