Celebrity hairstylist Julius Michael is teaching a “Housewife” or two how to care for their hair at home amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Michael, who colors the manes of Ramona Singer, Kathy Wakile and Margaret Josephs at his salon, is providing his clients with the Julius Michael Scarsdale experience from afar.
“A lot of my clients are reaching out to me and asking what they can do to fix their roots, hide their grey, what they could order online, so I started making and sending out custom color kits,” he told Page Six Style.
“In the kit, each client is getting a little disposable mixing bowl, gloves to apply the color, a packet of their color and then developer to mix with that color, a little applicator brush and a shampoo and conditioner to wash out the color.”
Michael stressed that being stuck in the house is no reason to do away with one’s beauty routine. “No one should not feel beautiful,” he told us.
“It could become very depressing, not getting your hair done, not putting makeup on and not getting dressed up. Even though we are under quarantine or stay-at-home order, we should feel beautiful. And I hope that everyone out there is staying safe and we could all hug each other again soon.”
