Andrew Parker Bowles has tested positive for coronavirus, sparking fears for the royal family after he recently spent time with them.

Parker Bowles, who is the 80-year-old ex-husband of Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, believes he contracted the novel virus at the Cheltenham Festival two weeks ago where he interacted with members of the royal family, according to The Telegraph.

“I probably got it on the Wednesday or Friday. I attended Cheltenham,” he told the British publication. “I’ve felt pretty bloody awful with it. It’s better in the mornings and gets worse as the day goes on. I’ve had a bad cough and I’ve been very lethargic. I’m sleeping twice as long as normal.”

While at the festival, Parker Bowles was photographed talking to Princess Anne and her daughter, Zara Phillips.

Prince Charles announced at the end of March that he had tested positive for COVID-19. The Duchess of Cornwall’s current husband spent seven days in isolation at his home, Burnham, on the Balmoral Estate in Scotland and made his first public appearance on Wednesday, April 1.
