Two American superstars — Jon Bon Jovi and Dr. Anthony Fauci — are set to appear on NBC’s coronavirus special on Tuesday night, Page Six has exclusively learned.
We’re told Bon Jovi has made a special recording of his new song “Do What You Can” that will be shown during the live primetime special, “NBC News Special Report: Coronavirus Pandemic.”
Insiders say that song — which he recorded from his New Jersey home — will be played over stirring images from the past week, including some showing healthcare workers battling the outbreak.
He released the song, which was inspired by the response to the pandemic, last Sunday on Instagram.
The rock icon also recorded “a little message to those on the front line,” we’re told.
Meanwhile, Dr. Fauci, the nation’s top infectious disease expert, will sit for an interview with anchors Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie, who are anchoring together in NBC’s headquarters for the first time since Guthrie left to spend two weeks working from home.
Bon Jovi said last week that he believed his son, Jacob, had contracted a “mild version” of the virus.
The show airs at 10pm ET on NBC, its streaming service NBC News Now and MSNBC.
