NEON — the US film distributor that put out Oscar sensation “Parasite” — has sealed a deal to pick up a sci-fi thriller called “Possessor” by Brandon Cronenberg, son of famed filmmaker David Cronenberg.
The film stars Andrea Riseborough as an agent for a secret organization that uses brain implants to inhabit other people’s bodies and commit assassinations for high-paying clients. It’s Brandon’s second film, and debuted at Sundance. The film also stars former “Game of Thrones” star Sean Bean and Jennifer Jason Leigh.
