Taylor Swift and Kim Kardashian appear to have conflicting views on the newly released, longer version of the leaked phone conversation between the “Lover” singer and Kanye West that surfaced online over the weekend.
On Saturday, Kardashian, 39, liked a tweet that said, “The video showed nothing new. We all knew that. I’m so confused right now.”
According to Tumblr, Swift, 30, liked several of her fans’ posts that defended her, including one that featured the headline, “The Full Taylor Swift-Kanye Phone Call Leaked, and Everyone Owes Taylor an Apology.”
The full-length version of the call, in which the musicians discuss the lyrics of West’s “Famous” single, shows the rapper never disclosed he would refer to Swift as a “bitch” in the song.
West raps, “I made that bitch famous,” in the final version of the track.
However, West was open in regards to a line about the pair having sex.
He shared portions of the lyrics on the call — “To all my Southside n—s that know me best / I feel like Taylor Swift might owe me sex“ — to which Swift replied, “That’s not mean.”
West told Swift, “What I give a f—k about is you as a person and as a friend…I don’t want to do rap that makes people feel bad.”
The singer said she appreciated the “heads up,” but later clarified, “I need to think about it,” before giving her final stamp of approval.
“When you hear something for the first time you need to think about it, because it is absolutely crazy,” she added. “But the build-up you gave it, I thought it was going to be something, like, ‘That stupid, dumb bitch,’ but it’s not.”
The new leak sparked the hashtag #TaylorToldTheTruth on social media.
In 2016, Kardashian leaked an edited version of the conversation. As a result, Swift was called a liar and branded a “snake.”
Kardashian and West’s rep did not immediately return our request for comment.
