“Transformers” star Sophia Myles has revealed that her father has died in the UK of COVID-19.
“RIP Peter Myles. My dear Dad died only a few hours ago. It was the Corona Virus that finally took him,” the 40-year-old British actress revealed on Twitter Saturday.
Just three hours earlier, Myles had posted a heartbreaking photograph of her tenderly holding a latex glove-covered hand on her 67-year-old father’s head as he grimaced in obvious pain in his hospital bed.
“This is the harsh reality of the Coronavirus,” she wrote alongside the image, which showed her with a surgical face mask and an apron as her dad had a ventilator attached to his face.
She took a crew from CBS News to her hospital visit, with the footage initially set to air Monday, she had revealed.
The actress — best known as Darcy in “Transformers” — previously revealed her dad had been suffering with Parkinson’s and had “various health problems for some time.”
