Like all her fellow New Yorkers, Kelly Ripa is currently skipping her salon visits in favor of self-quarantine.
And on Sunday, the 49-year-old “Live With Kelly and Ryan” host offered fans an update on her hair’s status, showing off her natural gray roots on her Instagram Story.

“Root watch week one,” Ripa captioned her mirror selfie, referencing the amount of time she’s been staying home and practicing social distancing during the coronavirus pandemic.
Last week, the talk show host similarly took her nearly three million Instagram followers along as she treated her “acute Botox deficiency syndrome” with a series of wrinkle-erasing injections.
“In this time we can notice that there’s been a lot of worrying,” Ripa quipped. “You can see it’s written all over my face.”
When it comes to the COVID-19 crisis, however, the TV star’s not all talk and no action; she and husband Mark Consuelos have donated $1 million to aid relief efforts during the pandemic.
The funds will be shared amongst the New York Governor’s Office to purchase ventilators — which are in dangerously short supply — and WIN, the largest provider of shelter for NYC’s homeless families.
