Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos are a couple of swell New Yorkers.
The morning show host and her “Riverdale” husband have donated a cool $1 million to aid relief efforts during the coronavirus pandemic, reports People.
A source revealed that the funds will be shared amongst the New York Governor’s Office to buy badly needed ventilators and WIN, the largest provider of shelter for New York City’s homeless families.
New York has been one of the hardest hits states in the country — as of Thursday, there were over 4,000 confirmed cases and close to 30 deaths.
Ripa, 49, and Consuelos, 48, are not the only celebrity couple to be pitching in to help those who have been affected by the coronavirus pandemic.
Earlier this week, Ryan Reynolds announced that he and his wife Blake Lively will donate $1 million to two organizations representing food banks across the United States and Canada. Meanwhile, Seattle Seahawk’s quarterback Russell Wilson and wife Ciara have pledged to donate one million meals to a food bank in Seattle.
