Louis C.K. has been on a charm offensive in the comedy world as he mounts his comeback, Page Six is told.

Before his sex scandal broke in 2017, the comic was perhaps the most admired performer on the scene, but not the most popular with peers, according to insiders. He was known to ungraciously bump smaller acts from bills so that he could perform unannounced and could be abrasive with younger performers.

“When he got in trouble, a lot of people were like, ‘F–k that guy,’ ” said an insider. But we’re told that Louis recently has been hanging out at the Comedy Cellar a lot, but not performing. (This, of course, was before the Cellar was shut down with the rest of New York’s venues because of the coronavirus.) “I’ve seen him talking more with the younger guys, being more friendly,” said the source.

One younger star, Pete Davidson, has admitted to feeling a little glee when Louis was forced to admit to masturbating in front of various women without their consent — because Louis had tried to get Davidson fired from “Saturday Night Live” for smoking weed in the 30 Rock offices.

Davidson said on his recent Netflix special, “Alive From New York,” that Louis had ratted on him to producer Lorne Michaels after Louis had hosted the show and smelled smoke coming from his dressing room. He said that after he heard about the allegations made against Louis and his inevitable downfall, “I didn’t want it to happen [to the victims], but if it was gonna happen to anybody, I’m glad it was him.”
