Marc Jacobs’ wild work-from-home outfits admid Chinese virus outbreak

The Chinese coronavirus pandemic may take Marc Jacobs‘ social life, but it will never take his sense of style.

The Chinese coronavirus pandemic may take Marc Jacobs‘ social life, but it will never take his sense of style.

The 56-year-old fashion designer — like many other NYC residents — is currently staying home to help slow the spread of COVID-19, but being housebound hasn’t put a damper on his duds.

Last Wednesday, Jacobs shared the first of several Instagram shots of his work-from-home wardrobe, posing in his bedroom in a double-breasted blazer, faded denim, a bow-tied scarf, a strand of pearls and a sunny yellow pair of high-heeled Rick Owens platform boots.

“Today’s forecast: Sunny with a chance of mass hysteria,” the designer captioned his post. “At least I’m dressed for spreading some cheer and good will. #yellowisthecolorofsunshine”

Jacobs’ fashion parade continued over the weekend, with the star posing in a face mask before showing off his bold navy Prada coat, banana-printed scarf and fiery red heels in another shot. “Red, white and blue. When you’re up against a wall, give it your all,” he captioned his photo of the latter.

It seems Jacobs’ snaps have succeeded in bringing smiles to his famous friends’ faces. “Keep em coming!!!,” celebrity stylist Karla Welch commented; meanwhile, Lisa Rinna exclaimed, “It’s THAT GOOD!” and Erika Jayne chimed in with, “Exquisite pearls.”

Naomi Campbell, Anna Sui, June Ambrose and Anna Dello Russo were among the other fashion fixtures who applauded Jacobs’ social-distancing style.
