During a Saturday night campaign stop in Anchorage, Alaska for Republican midterm candidates, former president Donald Trump referred to Elon Musk as a 'bulls-t artist.'
Trump, 76, criticized Twitter for banning him, praised his Truth Social social media company, and told supporters he expected the world's richest man would not go through with the purchase.
Musk, 51, pulled out of a $44 billion deal to purchase the business on Friday, claiming it had withheld information about its phony accounts.
Trump also asserted that the CEOs of SpaceX and Tesla lied about voting for him.
“You know, he said the other day, ‘Oh, I’ve never voted for a Republican.’ I said, ‘I didn’t know that, he told me he voted for me.’ So he’s another bulls–t artist,” the Republican said.
The quip came after Musk said last month that he was “leaning” towards supporting GOP Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis for president in 2024.
Trump is reportedly seriously considering running for president a third time.
At his "Save America" event, he was joined on stage by Republican Sen. Lisa Murkowski's opponent and candidate for the US House of Representatives, Sarah Palin of Alaska.
