Demi Lovato debuted a daring new ‘do on Wednesday, sharing photos of her partially shaved head and fresh blond dye job on Instagram.
“I did a thing…,” the pop star, 28, captioned a snap of her buzzed undercut from the back.
“Yes you did!!!” commented fellow short-haired star Ruby Rose, while photographer Angelo Kritikos — who took the photos of Lovato’s new look — added, “LOVING THIS NEW ERA ALREADY.”
A second series of snaps garnered praise from stars including Gabrielle Union, Lisa Rinna, Lucy Hale, Kerry Washington and Ashley Graham, the latter of whom exclaimed, “DEMI! This chop!!!!!! Gorg!”

Lovato credited the cut and color to Amber Maynard Bolt, who worked with the star’s go-to hairstylist Paul Norton to leave her locks long on top and swept dramatically to one side, with her brunette roots still showing through in the undercut.
“YOU GOT MOXY KID,” Norton wrote, while Bolt added, “There is something about changing your hair so drastically that allows you to own yourself in a way you never thought!”
Lovato’s big chop follows her breakup from fiancé Max Ehrich in September. Last weekend, the star joked about getting “unengaged” while hosting the People’s Choice Awards, calling 2020 “the longest three years of my life.”
