From contour to cleanser.

Kim Kardashian is planning to double down on the success of her KKW Beauty and KKW Fragrance brands by branching into skincare, too.

On August 17, the 39-year-old mogul’s team filed to trademark KKW Skin for moisturizers, creams, cleansers, toners, scrubs, serums, masks, oils and a whole other slew of skincare products.

A second filing with the United States Patent and Trademark Office added “retail store services” to the lineup, suggesting that Kardashian may have plans to open a brick-and-mortar KKW Skin boutique in the future. TMZ was the first to report the trademark filing.

The timing for the superstar’s foray into skincare makes sense. Back in June, cosmetics giant Coty invested $200 million for a 20 percent stake in Kardashian’s beauty brand, with plans to develop new KKW products including skincare as well as hair and nail lines.

In November 2019, Kardashian’s sister Kylie Jenner sold a 51 percent stake in her Kylie Cosmetics company to Coty for a cool $600 million — just a few months after launching her own skincare line, Kylie Skin.

The famous siblings are far from the only stars looking to cash in with branded cleansers and creams; Rihanna unveiled her own Fenty Skin range at the end of July, and Jennifer Lopez is currently gearing up for the launch of JLo Beauty, which looks to be largely focused on skincare as well.
