Looking good while doing good.

Selena Gomez’s Rare Beauty brand announced the launch of its Rare Impact Fund on Wednesday, its superstar founder’s 28th birthday, pledging to raise $100 million to provide mental health services to underserved communities.

Starting with the cosmetics company’s launch this summer, one percent of all Rare Beauty sales — along with contributions from partners — will benefit the fund, with the goal of hitting the $100 million mark over the next 10 years.

“I’m so grateful to be surrounded by a team that’s helped make the Rare Impact Fund a reality,” Gomez said in a statement. “Since the brand’s inception, we wanted to find a way to give back to our community and further support people who needed access to mental health services, which have had a profound impact on my life.”

The pop star’s mission-driven makeup brand has also formed the Rare Beauty Mental Health Council, comprised of leading mental health experts and professionals in the field, who “will guide the company’s strategy to ensure maximum impact,” according to a press release.

Gomez has been open about her own mental health struggles, having been hospitalized and checked into rehab for her battles with depression and anxiety in the past.

In April, she revealed she had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder.
