Now that all NYC salons, barbershops and other personal care services have been ordered to close starting Saturday night due to the coronavirus outbreak, many might be wondering what they’re going to do about their beauty upkeep — from their hair to their nails.
Fortunately, celebrity eyebrow stylist Sania Vucetaj, who runs Sania’s Brow Bar with her family in New York City, is here to help those who are worrying about maintaining their eyebrows via YouTube tutorials. Rule number one? Don’t over-tweeze.
“The key is to fill them in [using an angled brow pencil] and create a nice barrier for yourself so you’re not overdoing it,” Vucetaj told Page Six Style.
“You start off by lifting at the arch. Very lightly outline the top, outline underneath, this is a red zone. [Fill in] a little bit in the center. A lot of people overdo the center.”
Though having no access to beauty businesses during the COVID-19 quarantine may seem like a setback, Vucetaj notes one perk: “This is the perfect opportunity to grow [your eyebrows] in.”
“Just tweeze a few of the hairs that are way outside the line,” she cautioned.
In the video above, Vucetaj demonstrates how to shape your brows until personal care businesses reopen.
