Is B1 B2 visa open in India?

Are B2 visas being issued in India?
They will open slots from Jan to May 2022 for all H, L, B1/B2 visa dropbox starting from late Nov and early December; They do not expect the consulate to resume normal processing soon. Are India visas still suspended?
With the onset of the pandemic in 2020, all visas to India were suspended in the month of March, with the shut down of regular (commercial) international travel. While a graded relaxation followed soon in October 2020 to ease visa and travel restrictions for Indian nationals other travellers, visiting the country for business, conferences, employment, studies and research purposes, tourist visas continued to remain suspended.
Can American citizens travel to India?
Yes. Travel to India for tourism and other short-term purposes resumed fully for individuals holding tourist or e-tourist visas. Valid visas, which were previously suspended due to COVID-19 precautions, have been fully reinstated and are valid for travel until their printed expiration dates.
