FAQ?
When does the peuc program end?
On September 6, 2021, the Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation (PEUC) program is scheduled to expire. The final payable week is the benefit week ending September 4, 2021.
What does peuc stand for?
HARRISBURG, Pa. – Today, Department of Labor & Industry (L&I) Acting Secretary Jennifer Berrier provided an update on the recent Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation (PEUC) and Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA) implementations in Pennsylvania.
How much is my peuc weekly benefit amount?
Your PEUC weekly benefit amount is the same as your regular UI weekly benefit amount (between $187 and $240). Your weekly benefit amount is based on your reported earnings during the base period (the first four of the last five completed quarters).
Can I backdate my peuc claim?
When you’ve used up your regular unemployment benefits, you can apply for PEUC. However, the week ending Sept. 4 is still the last payable week for PEUC benefits. That means, if you apply any time after Sept. 4, 2021, you can backdate your claim. We might ask you why you are filing claims for some weeks late.
