Burger lovers have a burning question for Wendy’s amid nationwide meat shortages: “Where’s the beef?”

Hamburgers have disappeared from some of the fast-food chain’s restaurants as the coronavirus crisis roils the country’s meat supply.

Some Wendy’s locations posted signs warning that their signature “fresh, never frozen” beef was not available, photos show. Other eateries said they were not serving burgers with two or three patties, customers said on Twitter.

The ordeal reminded some diners of the famous 1980s advertising slogan that Wendy’s conceived to boast about its juicy patties.

“I tried to get a baconator today, but they said they were out of burgers because there’s a beef shortage. So I gotta ask… Where’s the beef?” Jenny Tokumei tweeted Monday night.

“I’d heard that the crisis was affecting the meat supply, but what just brought it home was going to Wendy’s and being told that they no longer serve double and triple burgers,” another Twitter user wrote.

Wendy’s acknowledged that certain menu items “may be temporarily limited” at some restaurants amid the meat shortage, though it’s uncertain how many of its roughly 5,800 US eateries have been affected. The Ohio-based company said it is still supplying hamburgers to all of its restaurants with two to three weekly deliveries.

@Wendys the store in Blythewood SC has no burgers. Costco is limiting customers to three packages of meat apiece, while Kroger has alerted shoppers to limited inventory “due to high demand.”

The shortage is expected to worsen this month despite President Trump’s executive order last week forcing processing plants to reopen, The Post has reported.
