        <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>Wendy Williams</strong> is swapping her purple chair for her couch.</p><p>Williams, 55, announced on Friday that her eponymous daytime talk show is set to resume filming, but that she&#8217;ll be taping from her New York City home instead of the studio. New episodes will start airing on Monday, April 6.</p><p>&#8220;I may not be in my purple chair, and it may not look the same but I’m very excited to get back to my Wendy Watchers … there’s so much uncertainty in all of our worlds right now and we need each other!&#8221; Williams said in a statement.</p><p>Williams&#8217; at-home segments will be combined with footage taped before the <strong>show stopped production</strong> on March 12 due to growing concerns around the coronavirus pandemic.</p><p>The &#8220;Wendy Williams Show&#8221; host already has tested out filming from home amid the coronavirus crisis. The <strong>bizarre first segment</strong> featured Williams eating various foods such as lollipop lamb chops and soft shell crab while discussing her 5-foot-5-inch Betty Boop statue.</p>]]></content:encoded>
