The star of "Forrest Gump" has been on a press tour for a few weeks to promote his upcoming Baz Luhrmann-directed movie "Elvis." This month, he and the lead actor, Austin Butler, went to a screening in Brisbane, Australia.

Wilson has been married to Hanks for 34 years. They met in 1981 on the set of the 1980–1982 sitcom "Bosom Buddies."

At the time, Hanks was still married to his first wife, his college sweetheart Samantha Lewes, with whom he had two children: actor son Colin Hanks, 44, and daughter Elizabeth Hanks, 40.

Tom and Wilson went on to have their own sons, Chet Hanks, an actor and rapper who is 31 years old, and Truman Hanks, who is 26 years old.

Chet has had his own demons to fight over the years, but he has been sober for nine months now. Even though his dad has a good name, Chet said in February that he grew up without a "strong male role model."

“‘You have all these things that they want, so they are trying to f–king throw their shade at you so you can feel s–tty about yourself because they are jealous.’ I needed to hear that,” Chet explained.

“I didn’t have anyone to tell me that. This is me now telling the younger version of myself what I needed to hear then.”
