Tom Brady won’t be wearing a Titans uniform next season.

The Tennessee Titans have reached a four-year, $118 million contract agreement with Ryan Tannehill, according to multiple reports, eliminating a potential landing spot for soon-to-be free agent Tom Brady. Tannehill’s contract comes with $91 million in total guarantees and $62 million in fully guaranteed money.

The extension “would prevent Tennessee from using its franchise tag on the quarterback and keep him as the team’s starter moving forward,” Adam Schefter tweeted, citing sources.

Tannehill, 31, was traded to the Titans last March, along with a sixth-round pick for the 2019 draft. After replacing then-starter Marcus Mariota in Week 6, the former Dolphins quarterback led the Titans to the playoffs, knocking off Brady’s Patriots in the AFC wild-card round.

Tom Brady and Ryan TannehillGetty Images
The Titans fell to the Chiefs in the AFC Championship game.

Ahead of Super Bowl 2020, Tannehill was named the NFL Comeback Player of the Year.

As for Brady, the 42-year-old who is expected to hit the market Wednesday for the first time in his 20-year career, he has also been linked to several other teams, including the Buccaneers, 49ers and Raiders.

For now, it appears Brady’s making the most of his time off the field.
