Drew Brees tossed four touchdown passes and Tom Brady was intercepted three times as New Orleans trounced the previously soaring Buccaneers, 38-3, Sunday night in Tampa.

The Saints (6-2) moved into first place in the NFC South, and they now control the first divisional tiebreaker after also defeating the Bucs in Brady’s Week 1 debut with his new team.

Brees threw for 189 of his 222 passing yards and connected for scoring plays with Tre-Quan Smith, Adam Trautman and Emmanuel Sanders as New Orleans seized a 31-0 lead by halftime.

Brees regained the NFL record for aerial touchdowns with 564, three ahead of Brady, who completed 22 of 38 attempts for 209 yards for the Bucs (6-3). Brady’s 40.4 passer rating was the third-lowest of his career.

Jameis Winston, Brady’s predecessor in Tampa who was released after last season, even got into the game and made his Saints debut during garbage time against his former team.

Antonio Brown had three receptions for 31 yards in his Tampa debut after serving an eight-game suspension for violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy.
