Tiger Woods is back home.

The golfer left Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, where he was transferred on Feb. 26, three days after injuring his legs in a single-car accident outside the city. He’ll continue his recovery at his South Florida home.

“Happy to report that I am back home and continuing my recovery. I am so grateful for the outpouring of support and encouragement that I have received over the past few weeks,” Woods said in a statement. “Thank you to the incredible surgeons, doctors, nurses and staff at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. You have all taken such great care of me and I cannot thank you enough.

“I will be recovering at home and working on getting stronger every day.”

Woods, a 15-time major winner and 82-time PGA tour victor, was on his way to a GolfTV/Golf Digest shoot on the morning of the crash. He broke several bones in his lower right leg, needing a rod to stabilize a fracture and screws and pins inserted in his foot and ankle.

The 45-year-old was found unconscious in the wrecked vehicle, and told authorities he “did not even remember driving.”
