Jacksonville’s Tim Tebow craze may be waning.

In two consecutive press conferences, Jaguars coach Urban Meyer hasn’t received a single question about Tebow, according to ProFootballTalk.

Even when asked about the tight end room, which Tebow is now a part of, Meyer avoided Tebow’s name.

“Well, I think I mentioned earlier that (James) O’Shaughnessy and (Ben) Ellefson have been — they’re two of the most improved really on the team,” Meyer said. “When you watch last year’s film compared to this year, what I saw early in Phase Two was very much improved. We’re still not where we need to be at that room right now, but we’re getting closer.”

When the 33-year-old quarterback-turned-tight end signed with the Jaguars in May, he ignited a predictable frenzy. Less than 24 hours after news broke, Tebow’s jersey had already become a top seller in several categories on NFL Shop.

Yet the media firestorm that has followed Tebow from one stop to the next — whether it be at the University of Florida, Denver or with the New York Mets’ minor league system — has tailed off for now.

One source familiar with the dynamics between Tebow and his new team told ProFootballTalk that he is “blending in.”

As he attempts to revive his NFL career at tight end, Tebow is competing for a spot alongside Chris Manhertz, Luke Farrell, Tyler Davis, O’Shaughnessy and Ellefson.
