Of course, he left out everything about forced lockdowns and the government's participation in the financial crisis. "Biden Boom" was quickly trending on social media. The rush to change the narrative was obviously part of a broader plan, and when I commented on The Wall Street Journal’s latest poll, I noted that the coming inflation report was rumored to be disastrous. That tragedy has now arrived, and the cause for all of the coordination with the media has been revealed.

Inflation rose to 6.8% in November, the highest level since 1982, when the country was still recuperating from Jimmy Carter's presidency.

It's impossible to overstate how dreadful this is for the American middle class (those who aren't wealthy but don't receive inflation-adjusted government benefits). The justifications for the inflation issue are also no longer valid. Democrats can no longer pretend that it's just about the cost of a secondhand automobile. Instead, prices for some of the most routinely used goods and items by ordinary people are soaring.

It's not your imagination if you've realized you can't get a ribeye for the same price you used to. Significant increases have also been seen in chicken, fish, and pig. Then there's the issue of gas and utility rates, which have the single greatest impact on consumers. To get to work, people require gasoline. They need electricity to keep their homes running. Electric automobiles and congressional critters dancing on the Capitol steps aren't going to put food on the table.

Hotel and used automobile pricing, by the way, are also important. It's the season of giving. Many people would like to see their family but are unable to do so due to exorbitant travel costs.

No amount of “greatest recovery ever” talk is changing the reality of what this country is going through, and much of it can be attributed to the failing, nonsensical policies of the current president. He owns this, and while his handlers can try to cover things up, very few people are buying what the administration is selling these days.
