The actress has been a blonde bombshell since she first hit the scene in the early aughts. And while she’s gone through many stages, from girl next door to mother of three, she’s always known how to rock a sexy swimsuit.

One of her most memorable bikini moments went down in 2005, when she graced the cover of GQ donning an American flag bikini with a striped top and star-covered bottoms. 

Bikini pictures continued to flow in the years that followed, but after welcoming daughter Maxwell Johnson in 2012, body-shamers were constantly criticizing the actress. 

“I’m not a supermodel!” Simpson told USA Today that same year. “My body is not bouncing back like a supermodel. I’m just your everyday woman who is trying to feel good and be healthy for her daughter, her fiancé and herself … I feel like everybody can do what I am doing.”

While Simpson has had her highs and lows when it came to self-image, being a mom has changed her outlook for the better. She prioritizes health above all else. 

“Raising Maxwell makes me realize that I don’t want her to see me beat myself up for things like food choices or numbers on a scale. I don’t want her to learn anything like that from me,” she wrote via Parents’ GoodyBlog in October 2013. “Those things don’t determine who we are and instead make us feel terrible about ourselves. I want to teach her to value herself, listen to herself and tune out the world. I want her to know her value, rather than spending her energy fighting negative voices from within.

In line with her message, she shared sexy bikini snaps at every stage of the game. Simpson posed topless in 2017, shared a snap in a stringy bikini circa 2018 and embraced her bikini-clad baby belly in 2019. 

After the Open Book author welcomed daughter Birdie Mae, and the actress revealed that she lost 100 pounds in less than a year. 

“6 months. 100 pounds down (Yes, I tipped the scales at 240). My first trip away from #BIRDIEMAE and emotional for many reasons, but so proud to feel like myself again. Even when it felt impossible, I chose to work harder,” she captioned an Instagram post announcing her weight loss. 

In the time since, the Dukes of Hazzard star has not only posed in swimsuits for her brand, Jessica Simpson Style, she’s also taken to the ‘gram to share pool day pictures with her family.
