In a scene from the team plane in 1998, Michael Jordan was caught teasing the former Bulls small forward for his own drinking habits, calling him “Dennis Rodman Jr.”

“He never gets sleep,” Jordan said of Burrell. “Single man, and he thinks he can hang out all night.”

In the scene, Burrell is visibly shy of the camera, fearing his parents will eventually see the footage. But Jordan didn’t back down. “Mom, dad, he’s an alcoholic,” Jordan said.

Following the show, Burrell, now the head basketball coach at Southern Connecticut State University, joined CBS Sports HQ to talk about the episode. He said that twenty years later, he still felt he had to get ahead of the scene before it aired.

“I warned my parents about that part,” Burrell said. “I knew that part was coming and someone told that it was coming in tonight’s episode. So I was like ‘when it’s coming?’ So I’m sitting on the couch watching with my wife and I was like ‘what is she going think? What are her parents going to think?’ But you know what, it was 20-something years ago, so it’s a different way of life.”

His wife Jeane Coakley, currently an anchor at SNY, appeared to have no problems with the scene.

“I was more upset that Michael didn’t give him a dang hug,” Coakley said on SNY.

She also tweeted through much of the episode, at one point saying, “I was in high school when ‘Baby Rodman’ was at his peak,” followed by a laughing emoji.
