        <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Schneps Media, which bought the quirky Hamptons lifestyle weekly Dan’s Papers in June, held a reception to celebrate the acquisition at Naia at the Capri in Southampton this week.</p><p>Douglas Elliman CEO Dottie Herman presented Dan’s founder, perpetual fedora-wearer Dan Rattiner, with a new hat. Victoria and Joshua Schneps announced Rattiner will still write for the paper. Rattiner — who founded Dan’s Papers in 1960 — will also be starting his first podcast.</p><p>Schneps Media owns more than 70 papers, notably in the past year buying NYC’s free dailies, amNewYork and Metro, and merging them.</p>]]></content:encoded>
